Hostaway + UpMarket | User Guide

How does our integration work?

This one-way integration between both platforms allows you to connect your Hostaway account to UpMarket through a middleware called Calry, to import:

  • Properties
  • Reservations with guest details.

In addition, this connection uses webhooks for real-time synchronization of new reservations, modifications, cancellations and changes in guest data made within the PMS.

How to connect?

💡Before starting:

  • Make sure you already have access to your UpMarket Admin user. If necessary, you can confirm the details with the UpMarket Onboarding / Support team.
  • On the Hostaway side, please follow the steps below to obtain your Account ID and generate the API Key you will need for authorising the connection in the UpMarket – Calry flow.

Start inside Hostaway:

  1. Please go to Settings -> Hostaway API

  2. Now let’s click on the “Create” button, to create a new API connection:

  3. In the new form, please complete the following actions:
    1. In the “Name” field, please insert a name for this integration so you can easily identify it later (eg. UpMarket API Integration).
    2. From the “Partner” dropdown options, please select the option “Hostaway Public API”
    3. Once done, please click on the “Create” button.
      Screencap below for visual aid:

  4. Done 🚀! The previous action has generated an Account Id and an API Key. Please store these two values safely, since we will need them for the next steps.

💡The values of the account Id and API key shown in this screenshot are not real. Once you follow the process you will get your own unique values.

Continue the connection In UpMarket:

  1. Inside UpMarket, on the left column, please click on Connect to your PMS

  2. In the list of available PMSs, select “Hostaway” and click on the “Next” button

  3. In the next step, please click in the “Proceed” button (no need to enter the docs.calry.app link, since you already have the API Key saved):

  4. You are now redirected to Calry’s authorisation area. This is where you’ll add the Account ID and API Key you saved earlier from Hostaway. Once you do, please click on the “Connect” button:

  5. Done 🚀! The integration is now created and within 20 minutes the properties will be imported:

How do I disconnect my Hostaway account from UpMarket?

💡Before starting:

If you have decided that you do not want to continue using our product, it is highly recommended that you please contact the UpMarket Support or Commercial teams, to avoid unwanted billing issues.

If, on the other hand, you are only making a change and are going to continue using UpMarket, you can follow these steps to safely disconnect the integration with your Hostaway account:

  1. From the Properties section, deactivate each accommodation within UpMarket, by clicking on its activation toggle on the right side:

💡Important note: from this moment, new reservations, cancellations or modifications will not be synchronized for this accommodation.
  2. Once all the properties are deactivated, we will go to the AI and Messaging -> Automatic Guest Messages section and deactivate all automatic WhatsApp templates, by clicking on the activation toggle for each one; they should be deactivated and in gray, as shown in the screenshot below:

  3. Within AI and Messaging -> AI Configuration, we are going to deactivate our Virtual Concierge by clicking on the first toggle that says “Enable Virtual Concierge Service”, and click on “Save”:

  4. Within Online Check-in -> Check-in Configuration, we are going to deactivate the automatic messages related to online check-in by clicking on their corresponding activation toggle:

  5. Finally, we will go to the Connect your PMS section and deactivate the integration with Hostaway by clicking on the corresponding switch:

You are all set! Now you can return to your Hostaway account and safely delete the integration with UpMarket. If you have any questions for this final process, you can contact the Hostaway Support team.
